About
I’m the luckiest man on Earth. I have a beautiful wife and 2 cute kids and we make our home in God’s country- scenic southern Oregon.
I’m the “Sports Guy” at KDOV-FM also known as “The Dove.” Imagine that, being paid to sit around and talk about sports. What a country! You can hear weekdays from 6-8 am Pacific time. My reports come up around 6:07, 6:23, 6:37, 6:50, 7:06, 7:37 amd 7:50.
I’m 43 now, and I’ve been a player, a fan and a broadcaster. I can remember rooting for A.J. Foyt during his days as a part-time NASCAR driver and proclaiming the accomplishments of Dales Earnhardt and Jarrett in the early 90s. After a 15 year absence of sportcasting (selling radio, TV, yellow page and newspaper advertising) I’ve been back in the groove since Dec. 2007.
My son ignited my passion for NASCAR. He got hooked on the movie “Cars” so we watched the 2007 Daytona 500 together. I went from a casual fan to seriously hooked. Our whole family did.
During my days as a more casual fan, I rooted for Jeff Gordon. Now that I follow more closely, my favorites list includes Bobby Labonte, Mark Martin, Carl Edwards and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
